New Season

A minute silence for Sir Bobby Robson - The Man Manager.

Well I fizzled out during the runout of the season. It was due to some technical failure. I am back this time with a bang.

So it ended with Man U winning the league and Liverpool giving their supporters something to expect this season. I was surprised myself by the way Rafa organised the team to almost win the league. The season also saw Newcastle drop to the Championship - very very sad, I still can not believe that they are not in the premier league. They remind me of Leeds United, they have now plunged deep into the lower sections of English football no one seems to remember them anymore.

This season will begin with new boys Birmingham, Burnley and Wolves try to find their feet. Birmingham could not have wished for a harder starter away at Old Trafford. The rest will have a normal way of conditioning themselves.

I see this season to be one of the most competitive of all the seasons. The top four clubs with the exception of Man U have not changed their team so much. Chelsea's squad is going to be more stable although they have a new coach. The players are experienced enough to manage the change in the gafer. Liverpool might have lost Alonso but they would remain alright with the rest. Adebayor has left a gap in the Arsenal attack but I think they can also cope well with Arsharvin and Eduardo doing the job.

Man U have suffered most in the transfers with the departures of you know who.. Micheal Owen is a gamble so we will see what S.A.F will come out this time.

I wonder what Hughes will do with all the stars he has signed for Man City. I find it hard to believe that he recommended all the purchases. Anyway we all going to watch him combine these talents into a great team.

The community Sheild cup would be a low key affair but it will be interesting if none of the teams score before the 80 minute mark. They would try and inject some energy into the game to avoid penalties. It can go either way though.

All in all I expect a lot from this season especially with the few new players that the teams have signed.
